“SAFF and CIES launch online football research platform”

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has announced a partnership with the CIES Football Observatory to launch a SAFF-based online research platform for the men’s professional game. The collaboration agreement will allow CIES Football Observatory to create and develop a platform that will include competitions’ data on demographics, and technical and physical performance covering players, clubs, leagues, and national teams.

Saudi Arabia’s M3 Money Supply Increases by 4.7% Since December 31st

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s M3 money supply has surged 4.71 percent since December 2022, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank, also known as SAMA. The M3 money supply — the broadest measure of liquidity in the monetary system — reached SR2.61 billion ($697 billion) in the week ending June 1, up from SR2.5 billion on Dec. 31. However, the money supply for the week ending June 1 dropped 0.29 percent compared to $2.62 billion in the week ending June 25.

“LG and Saudi Esports Federation team up for Gamers8: Land of Heroes”

RIYADH: The Saudi Esports Federation and electronics firm LG have signed a memorandum of understanding to use the company’s UltraGear 25GR75FG, a top In-Plane Switching-based monitor designed for esports enthusiasts, at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes, the biggest gaming festival worldwide. The event runs for eight weeks from July 6 and the equipment will be used throughout the esports venues at Boulevard Riyadh City. The 24.5-inch (62-centimeter) monitor enables fluid motion and considerable visual clarity.

“UK Business Secretary Optimistic about GCC-UK Free Trade Deal Progress”

RIYADH: Recently appointed British Secretary of State for Business and Trade Kemi Badenoch has highlighted the progress being made in Gulf Cooperation Council-UK free trade agreement negotiations. The politician made her comments during a visit to Riyadh on Wednesday as part of a five-day tour of GCC member states. She told Arab News: “We are very excited about the GCC-UK free trade agreement. We think that it could be really groundbreaking and set a precedent for what the GCC does with the rest of the world.”

New deal boosts UAE’s e-gaming industry

DUBAI: Abu Dhabi Entertainment Company has signed a deal with PRO Events to launch e-gaming and e-sports events in Abu Dhabi and Al-Ain. The Memorandum of Understanding also leverages both organizations’ talents and resources to help expand the regions’ sports, e-sports and leisure sectors, Emirates News Agency reported on Thursday.   Khalid Al Mutawa, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADEC, and Rashed Abdulla, General Manager of PRO Events, signed the agreement.

Prince Abdulaziz said that this cooperation is embodied in coordination for joint Arab action in numerous projects, programs and initiatives, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
