“Bahrain invests $1.3bn in UK economy: Key deals signed”

LONDON: Bahrain has signed a memorandum of understanding for strategic investments and collaborations with Britain that will see the Gulf state’s private sector invest 1 billion pounds ($1.3 billion) in Britain, the Bahraini crown prince’s social media account said on Monday. The investments will be through Bahraini sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, Investcorp, GFH Financial Group, and Osool Asset Management.

Crude Oil Prices Rise on US Stock Draws, Amid Lingering Rate Hike Concerns

RIYADH: Oil prices edged higher on Wednesday after industry data showed a larger-than-expected drawdown of US inventories, signaling robust demand from the world’s biggest oil consumer, but the gains were limited by worries over interest rate hikes.   Brent crude futures rose 43 cents, or 0.60 percent, to $72.69 a barrel at 09:28 a.m. Saudi time, while US West Texas Intermediate futures gained 40 cents, or 0.59 percent, to $68.10 a barrel.

Saudi EXIM Bank and NBB collaborate to enhance exports

RIYADH: Bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is set to receive a further boost after banks from both sides entered into an agreement to offer competitive financing to firms involved in the import and export of goods.  According to a memorandum of understanding signed between the National Bank of Bahrain and the Saudi Export-Import Bank, also known as Saudi EXIM Bank, NBB will offer competitive financing rates to Bahraini companies importing goods from Saudi Arabia.

SAMA reports 5.59% increase in Saudi Arabia’s M3 money supply to $700bn

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s M3 money supply has surged 5.59 percent to SR2.63 billion ($700 billion) in the week ending June 8, up from SR2.5 billion on Dec. 31, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank, also known as SAMA. The M3 money supply — the broadest measure of liquidity in the monetary system — went up 0.83 percent to $2.61 billion in the week ending June 8 compared to the preceding week.  The SAMA data also revealed that the money supply in Saudi Arabia has been stable at SR2.6 billion in the past seven weeks.

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has announced a partnership with the CIES Football Observatory to launch a SAFF-based online research platform for the men’s professional game. The collaboration agreement will allow CIES Football Observatory to create and develop a platform that will include competitions’ data on demographics, and technical and physical performance covering players, clubs, leagues, and national teams.
