WWE Fans in Jeddah Enjoy Champions Village Entertainment Before Night of Champions Event

JEDDAH: WWE fans in Jeddah were treated to a day of fun and excitement at the Champions Village ahead of the the Night of Champions event on Saturday. Saudi wrestling superfans got to enjoy an immersive WWE experience with games, activities, a ring entrance experience and a chance to see their favorite WWE superstars up close and personal, such as Cody Rhodes, Gunther, AJ Styles, Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch. Mustafa Ali was one of the crowd favorites, with fans chanting his name during his segment with Gunther to hype up their upcoming Intercontinental Title match.

TASI drops 0.47% and Nomu gains 231 points at closing bell

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index shed 53.42 points, or 0.47 percent, on Tuesday to close at 11,275.77. The parallel market Nomu, which lost 183.81 points on Monday, rose by 230.64 points to close at 20,834.64 on May 23. The MSCI Tadawul Index dropped 0.73 percent to 1,509.98.  The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR6.64 billion ($1.77 billion).  East Pipes Integrated Co. for Industry was the top performer as its share price surged 7.55 percent to SR65.50.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index gained 66.80 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 11,344.40 on Thursday as 132 of the 224 stocks rose, while 72 closed down. The top-performing index of the Saudi Stock Exchange was the Pharma, Biotech & Life Science Index, which soared 6.6 percent, followed by the insurance and transportation sectors, which rose 2 percent and 1.14 percent, respectively. While the parallel market Nomu rose 0.15 percent to close at 20,832.55, the MSCI Tadawul Index edged up 0.60 percent to close at 1,526.51.

Newcastle close to Champions League, but Eddie Howe stays cautious.

NEWCASTLE: Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe still refuses to admit the job of Champions League qualification is done, despite the Magpies taking a giant leap toward a top-four Premier League spot with a home victory against sixth-place Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday. Howe’s side is within touching distance of a place of Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since the 2003/04 season thanks to a 4-1 win over their fellow high-fliers.

Nuggets beat Lakers 108-103 with Murray’s big fourth quarter, take 2-0 lead in West finals

DENVER: Jamal Murray scored 23 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter, propelling the Denver Nuggets to a 108-103 come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night for a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals. Nikola Jokic had his 13th playoff triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and a dozen assists for the Nuggets, who have never been this close to reaching the NBA Finals in their history. Game 3 is Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena, where LeBron James and the Lakers are 8-0 in the playoffs.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index gained 71.58 points, or 0.64 percent, to close at 11,277.60 on Wednesday as 136 of the 224 stocks finished in the green, while 75 ended in the red. The top performing sector of the Saudi Stock Exchange was Food & Beverages, which soared 2.35 percent, while the Insurance and Banks sectors followed by 1.70 and 1.50 percent, respectively. While the parallel market Nomu rose 0.88 percent to close at 20,864.69, the MSCI Tadawul Index edged up 0.85 percent to close at 1,517.45.
