TASI rises 71.58 points with Food & Beverage sector leading

Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index closed at 11,277.60 on Wednesday, up 0.64 percent or 71.58 points. The Food & Beverages sector was the top performer, rising 2.35 percent, followed by the Insurance and Banks sectors, which rose 1.70 and 1.50 percent respectively. The MSCI Tadawul Index edged up 0.85 percent to close at 1,517.45, while the parallel market Nomu rose 0.88 percent to close at 20,864.69. The benchmark index had a total trading turnover of SR6.01 billion ($1.6 billion). Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co. was the top performing stock, rising 9.83 percent to close at SR26.25, while Saudi Airlines Catering Co. was the worst performer, losing 7.37 percent to close at SR89.90.
