Riyadh Air, owned by PIF, reveals livery before Paris Air Show debut

RIYADH: The latest player in the global aviation industry, Riyadh Air, made an appearance with its remarkable livery at the King Khaled International Airport in the Saudi capital on Monday. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner painted aircraft flew at low altitude over several notable landmarks in the Riyadh skyline, including King Abdullah Financial District, Boulevard City, and some of the iconic main towers, thrilling residents with a glimpse of the Public Investment Fund-owned airline ahead of its public debut at the 54th Paris Air Show on June 19.

Diriyah CEO predicts Saudi Arabia as a popular spot for Chinese tourists

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia will become an attractive destination for Chinese tourists in the next 20 years, said the group CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority. Speaking on the first day of the 10th Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh on Sunday, Gerard Inzerillo said Chinese travel enthusiasts are raised in one of the most culturally rich countries in the world, as it is home to a unique cuisine, music, dance, literature and calligraphy.

UK Low-Carbon Startup Receives $22.7M Investment from Aramco, Eni, and United Airlines

RIYADH: The aviation industry’s efforts to develop low-carbon fuel at affordable cost received a boost after a deal was struck to invest $22.7 million into a UK startup working in clean energy technology.  The venture units of oil firms Saudi Arabian Oil Co. and Italy’s Eni have partnered with United Airlines to invest the amount into OXCCU, a company spun out from the University of Oxford.

Riyadh Air, Owned by PIF, Receives IATA Designator Code

RIYADH: Marking a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia’s new world-class carrier as it prepares to start operations, Riyadh Air secured the “RX” designator code from the International Air Transport Association.   Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas made this announcement at the IATA’s 79th annual general meeting being held in Istanbul, Turkiye.

Flyadeal increases daily flights between Riyadh and Dubai at low cost.

RIYADH: In order to meet the growing travel demand between Riyadh and Dubai, flyadeal is going to increase daily flights to the emirate, the Saudi Press Agency reported.  The Kingdom’s low-cost airline has increased the total number of flights operating between King Khalid International Airport and Dubai International Airport to five per day, with an average weekly frequency of 33.

RIYADH: US-based destination marketing company Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau is exploring partnerships in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to create and develop tourist-friendly locations.  Speaking to Arab News in Riyadh, Julie Wagner, CEO of BHCVB, said: “We are here to see all the new developments in Riyadh, as Saudi Arabia has been making a lot of inroads in creating a tourism-friendly destination.”
