Saudi Dr. Mubarak Al-Mutawa Joins ECOSEP Board as First National

RIYADH: Dr. Mubarak Al-Mutawa, Move Center for Sports Medicine’s executive director, has become the first Saudi to join the board of directors at the European College of Sports and Exercise Physicians. Al-Mutawa, in a media statement issued on Wednesday, said: “I am honored to have become a member of the board of directors of ECOSEP, which is a leading association at the European and international levels. “I am proud to represent my country, and to contribute in the advancement of the sports medicine sector.”

Yannick Mettler will join Reema Juffali, Ralf Aron and Alain Valente as they compete around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the fourth round of the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe and the third round of competition this season for Theeba Motorsport. Hailing from Switzerland, Mettler’s career spans more than a decade, having previously competed in the German Formula Three Cup, Michelin Le Mans Cup and International GT Open.

NEWCASTLE: Saudi company Sela has been announced as Newcastle United’s new front of shirt sponsor in a multi-year deal worth around £25 million ($31.4 million) a year to the club. Hudson joins Qatari club a week after leaving American job

DOHA: Anthony Hudson has agreed a two-year deal to guide Al Markhiya in the Qatari soccer league a week after quitting as interim head coach of the US men’s national team. The club posted confirmation of the two-year contract on its social media platforms late Wednesday, saying Hudson’s immediate goal is to help Al Markhiya improve on the seventh-place finish it achieved in its first season after promotion to the Qatar Stars League.
