Saudi Arabia Sends Seventh Relief Plane to Gaza

In a continued effort to support the people of Gaza, Saudi Arabia has dispatched its seventh relief plane carrying aid to the region. The plane, which transported 35 tons of materials including food and shelter, arrived at El-Arish International Airport in Egypt on Wednesday. This initiative is part of the Saudi campaign to assist the Palestinians during times of crisis.

The aid was sent from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, following the order of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Kingdom has a longstanding commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, and this relief effort is a testament to that commitment.

Over the past few days, six other Saudi relief planes, each carrying 35 tons of aid, have arrived in Egypt. The aid will be distributed to Palestinians via the Rafah Border Crossing, ensuring that those in need receive the necessary assistance.

In addition to the relief planes, a national fundraising campaign has been launched to provide further assistance to the people of Gaza. So far, the campaign has raised over SR495 million ($132 million). This initiative, led by KSrelief, has seen an overwhelming response, with more than 775,000 people accessing the Sahem platform to make donations.

Contributions can be made through Sahem’s website at sahem.ksrelief.org. Donors also have the option to transfer funds directly to the campaign’s Al-Rajhi Bank account or download the Sahem app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

In a separate contribution, KSrelief has also donated $15 million to the first phase of a UN aid plan for Gaza. The plan, launched by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, aims to deliver essential supplies such as food, shelter, non-food items, medication, water, and sanitation supplies to the besieged enclave. This partnership between KSrelief and the UN is crucial in easing the critical situation in Gaza.

The ongoing support from Saudi Arabia is crucial in providing much-needed aid to the people of Gaza. The relief planes and fundraising campaign demonstrate the Kingdom’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of Palestinians during times of crisis. The aid will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the ongoing conflict.

The Saudi government’s swift response and generous contributions reflect its dedication to humanitarian causes. By providing essential supplies and support, Saudi Arabia is playing a vital role in addressing the urgent needs of the people of Gaza.

As the relief efforts continue, it is important for individuals and organizations around the world to join in supporting the cause. The Sahem platform provides an accessible and convenient way for people to contribute to the campaign. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of those affected by the crisis.

Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people serves as an example for other nations to follow. By working together and providing assistance, we can help alleviate the suffering and work towards a brighter future for Gaza. The relief planes and fundraising campaign are just the beginning of what can be achieved when nations come together to support those in need.

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia’s seventh relief plane carrying aid to Gaza is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during times of crisis. The ongoing relief efforts, along with the national fundraising campaign, demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s dedication to alleviating the suffering in Gaza. With the support of individuals and organizations worldwide, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the conflict.
