Saudi main index closes higher

Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index has risen for the second day in a row, thanks to an increase in oil prices that has boosted investor confidence. On Monday, the benchmark index closed at 11,293.59, up 71.63 points or 0.64%. The total trading turnover was SR6.38bn ($1.70bn), with 125 listed stocks advancing and 75 retreating. Brent crude futures rose $1.79 to $77.92 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude climbed $1.83 to $73.57 a barrel. Elm Co. was the best performer of the day, with its share price surging 9.98% to SR500.49.
