Man Charged with Murders in Cambridgeshire Shootings

Cambridgeshire Police have charged a 66-year-old man with the murders of a father and son who were fatally shot in two separate villages. Stephen Alderton, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm. He will appear in Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

The victims, Josh Dunmore, 32, and Gary Dunmore, 57, were found in Bluntisham and Sutton respectively at around 21:00 BST on Wednesday. A 27-year-old man and 33-year-old woman who were arrested in connection with the murders have since been released with no further action taken.

Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out on Monday. Police have not yet released any further details about the incident or the victims.
