Abdulla Nasser Lootah, deputy minister of cabinet affairs for competitiveness and knowledge exchange, emphasized the UAE’s eagerness to form partnerships with governments worldwide, highlighting Brazil’s importance as a key player in the global economy. Macedo also acknowledged the significance of the partnership, stating that it represents a milestone in the development of competition policy and international cooperation between the two nations.

During the visit, the Brazilian delegation had the opportunity to learn about the UAE’s experience in developing government services and innovative solutions for customers. Mohamed Bin Taliah, chief of government services, briefed the delegation on the UAE’s achievements in this area. Additionally, the delegation met with Mohamed Al-Sharhan, managing director of the World Government Summit Organization, to understand the role of the summit in shaping the future through idea exchange and innovation among leading governments.

To further enhance their collaboration, the UAE Ministry of Economy organized an intensive workshop where both sides explored best practices in key areas of economic policy and strategy. These areas included foreign trade, investment, economic development, intellectual property, anti-money laundering, and competition. The workshop also focused on consumer protection, commercial control, and commercial agencies in the UAE. The ministry provided insights into the structure and operations of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department and shared best practices for national economic clusters.
