A cross-border attack in Russia’s Belgorod region has been claimed by two anti-Kremlin groups, the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) and Freedom of Russia Legion. The attack, one of the largest since Moscow’s troops invaded Ukraine 15 months ago, resulted in fighting for a second day. The Russian Defence Ministry said that the units it blamed had been forced back into Ukrainian territory and over 70 attackers had been killed. Russia has accused Ukraine of launching the attacks, but Kyiv has denied involvement. The RVC was founded by a far-right Russian national last August and is comprised of Russians who have been fighting in and for Ukraine against their own country.

GAZA: Dozens of bodies lay shrouded in white, lined up against the side of Gaza Strip’s Indonesian Hospital on Tuesday from what health authorities in the Hamas-run enclave said was an Israeli airstrike on a Palestinian refugee camp.
