Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan sign energy deal


On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, met with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov to discuss energy cooperation between the two countries. The meeting resulted in the signing of an energy cooperation agreement that covers various areas such as oil, petrochemicals, gas, electricity, and energy efficiency. The agreement also highlights cooperation in the circular carbon economy and related technologies to mitigate the effects of climate change. Both countries have agreed to work together to develop innovative uses of hydrocarbons, conduct joint academic research, organize panel discussions, seminars, and multilateral conferences, and share experiences and knowledge in the field of energy.
