Russian President Vladimir Putin has told UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan that Russia is fully complying with its climate commitments and is even ahead of schedule. Putin made the comments during an inspection of a stand at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum dedicated to the upcoming UN climate summit in the UAE. Putin revealed that there was a threefold increase in the number of Russian tourists travelling to the UAE last year, with 500,000 having already visited this year. The UAE is the guest country at this year’s forum.
