Hezbollah’s Use of Drones in Attacks on Israel
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated with the recent announcement from Hezbollah that they have used a drone capable of firing rockets at a military position in northern Israel. This marks a significant development in the conflict, as it is the first time that Hezbollah has publicly acknowledged using this type of weapon since the cross-border exchanges began in October.
The drone attack targeted a military position in Metula, northern Israel, where tanks were stationed. The drone was equipped with two S-5 rockets, which were released in a video published by Hezbollah-affiliated media. In addition to the drone attack in Metula, Hezbollah also launched a strike using “attack drones” on a base west of the northern Israeli town of Tiberias.
