Over 100 companies from 35 countries recently attended the International Conference and Exhibition of Algae at the Dhahran Expo in Saudi Arabia. The event, which ran from June 4-6, featured 16 workshops, interactive spaces, and seafood offerings. The exhibition aimed to increase awareness of algae cultivation and attract investors, while engaging stakeholders from the algae and aquaculture production chain. The conference was presented in both English and Arabic, with headsets providing simultaneous translations. NEOM was the main conference sponsor, hosting several workshops and interactive spaces. The next SIMEC AquaFish exhibition will be held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in early 2024.
