Yasir Hussain posts sentiments on instagram: Ertugrul stars garbage?
A few days ago the picture of Pakistan men deemed as Pakistani Ertugrul and Pakistani Turgut Alp went viral on social media. While reacting to the tweet, Hussain said these men will never get this much importance as Turkish actors are getting in Pakistan. Inko koi nahi poochyga (no one will pay heed to them),” he wrote. “Kyunke ghar ki murgi daal barabar or bahar ka kachra bhi maal barabar (Because home-cooked chicken is equivalent to lentils while foreign garbage is still worth cashing in),” said the actor.
However, VJ and TV presenter Anoushey Ashraf reacted to the post of Yasir Hussain calling Ertugrul stars international garbage.
“Let’s just gently remind Yasir that no one is Kachra (garbage) for one,” she said. “And even if their work isn’t at par to his liking, actors from around the world must be respected,” she added.
Ashraf said that all the artists from all the world should share the unspoken bond of mutual respect between them as each one of them has its struggles. “Having said that, Ertuğrul is far from garbage, if anything the series is an eye-opener,” she added.

Is Dirilis Ertugrul threatening the local film and acting industry?
Yasir Hussain is among the league of selected Pakistani artists who objected to the broadcast of the Turkish serial, Dirilis Ertugrul on the state television, PTV.
He argued that soon foreign entertainment content and celebrities will swarm the local entertainment industry of Pakistan. And this would destroy the local entertainment industry and celebrities. Yasir Hussain vehemently opposed the broadcast of Dirilis Ertugrul on PTV. He even demanded a ban on its airing on a Pakistani channel. Since then the Pakistani actor has been incessantly demeaning the Turkish actors.
But despite his displeasure and disapproval, a score of Pakistani brands have signed Turkish celebrities as their brand ambassadors. After Qmobile, Pakistan’s leading cellular network-Jazz 4G hired Esra Bilgic as its brand ambassador. Also, she will be the new face of Pakistan’s top clothing brand-Khaadi reportedly.
Meanwhile, a housing project-Blue World City Islamabad has recently hired Engin Altan Duzyatan as its brand ambassador. He is even expected to travel Pakistan soon for the inauguration of a Mosque.
Meanwhile, Yasir Hussain again confronted backlash on social media for disrespecting the Dirilis Ertugrul stars.
