Tay K’s Release Date and McIntyre’s Alleged Shooting of Mark Anthony Saldivar

Date:

Tay K, the American rapper whose real name is Taymor Travon McIntyre, has gained notoriety for his criminal history and is currently behind bars at Bexar County Jail. Despite being sentenced to 55 years in prison for the murder of Ethan Walker and Mark Anthony Saldivar, Tay K remains hopeful that he will be released from prison. However, most of his friends have given up on any chance of his release.

Tay K’s career began when he was only 14 years old as part of the Arlington-based rap group Daytona Boyz, alongside rappers Santana Sage and Pimpyz. They released their first track called Drift in December 2014. After releasing their first major songs that put them on people’s radar, they started performing at parties as well as local venues and clubs. In August 2015, Tay K released his first major sequel called Biff Xannen, and he also went on to release another major single called Sly Cooper. At that point, it became more and more apparent that Tay K was a name to watch.

However, Tay K’s criminal history caught up with him when he was arrested for capital murder on October 3, 2017. For this crime, the rapper and his legal team wanted a juvenile status. He was sentenced to twenty years behind bars for capital murder and aggravated robbery charges in February 2018. Another suspect pleaded guilty and agreed to a deal with the prosecution in which she would testify against her co-defendants – including Tay K. Then, a third suspect was charged with a life sentence without parole for the murder of Walker.

It was confirmed that McIntyre was not facing the death penalty or life imprisonment without parole on May 24, 2018. On his first day of the trial on July 15, 2017, Tay K pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery in the home invasion case, but on July 19, a jury found him guilty of murder and of a third charge of aggravated robbery. The rapper’s song The Race was used as supporting evidence during his trial.

As of now, the 19-year-old faces between five and 99 years behind bars. According to NBC DFW, the more serious charge of capital murder would have carried a mandatory 40-year sentence.

Tay K has apologized to all fans and supporters for letting his management and label convince him that it wouldn’t be a good decision to speak out against the way the media makes him look and the complete lies they spread. He has vowed to make sure the truth about his life and his character gets out with or without management or a label.

Although being a talented rapper, Tay K’s criminal history has put him behind bars. He was born on June 16, 2000, in Long Beach, California. When he was only eight years old, his father Kevin Beverly got imprisoned and spent much of his time in prison. When Beverly was released from prison, the whole family moved to Arlington, Texas in search of a better life. This is where Tay K attended Martin High School before dropping out in the 9th grade – which was the moment he really started focusing on his music career.

McIntyre released many songs while running out from the police, including “The Race” which was recorded during McIntyre’s stay in New Jersey and the music video was released on YouTube the same day as his capture. The song ranked at number 70 on the US Billboard Hot 100 after a large hashtag campaign pursuing the release of McIntyre using the hashtag “#FREETAYK”. It peaked at 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has over 226 million views on YouTube.

In conclusion, Tay K’s criminal history has overshadowed his talent as a rapper. Despite being sentenced to 55 years in prison for murder and aggravated robbery charges, he remains hopeful that he will be released from prison. However, most of his friends have given up on any chance of his release.
