DETROIT: Rickie Fowler has put himself in a position to win a PGA Tour title again. He’s hoping to take advantage for a change. Fowler birdied six of his last eight holes Saturday to surge into the Rocket Mortgage Classic lead at 20 under, giving him another chance to end a four-year PGA Tour victory drought. “I’m not scared to fail,” said Fowler, who had an 8-under 64 to take a one-stroke lead over Adam Hdwin at Detroit Golf Club. “I’ve dealt with plenty of that.” Indeed.

RIYADH: The market capitalization of the Tadawul All Share Index surged to over $2.9 trillion in June, up from $420 million in 2015, according to a report by S&P Global Ratings.   The firm suggested that the increase indicates solid economic fundamentals and positive investor sentiment in Saudi Arabia. Tadawul and the Capital Market Authority have launched several initiatives to expand the capital market in recent years as the Kingdom seeks to diversify its economy in line with the Vision 2030 initiative.

Dubai’s Scale-Up Count Surges by 26% in 2022.

RIYADH: The number of scale-ups in Dubai surged 26 percent in 2022, according to a report issued on Sunday. The report titled “Dubai’s Venture Capital Ecosystem,” issued by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said scale-ups in the emirate raised over $11.7 billion in capital in the last 10 years. It said as many as 306 fast-growing companies in the region are located in Dubai.

Saudi-US Trade Surges by 39% in 2022: Report

RIYADH: Oil and fertilizer exports helped Saudi Arabia record a 39 percent surge in trade with the US in 2022, demonstrating strengthening ties between the two nations.   According to a report by the US-Saudi Business Council, the total trade value reached SR130 billion ($34.7 billion), fueled by both an uptick in Saudi oil exports and a record-breaking non-oil trade. Notably, non-oil exports from Saudi Arabia to the US in 2022 touched SR10.1 billion, marking a 10 percent increase from the previous year.
