But the issue is real in Philly: Will Harden return to the 76ers for a third season? All signs point to Harden declining his $35.6 million option on Thursday and entering this summer as an unrestricted free agent. That leaves the 2018 NBA MVP and 10-time All-Star free to sign with any team.

Katie Ledecky’s Dominating Performance at US Nationals Joins Elite Club

INDIANAPOLIS: Katie Ledecky joined an elite club Tuesday night, earning her sixth trip to the world championships with a dominating victory in the 800-meter freestyle at the US nationals. Ledecky was under her own world-record pace for much of the race before settling for the victory in 8 minutes, 7.07 seconds — her third-fastest time in the grueling event, which she has dominated over her long career with the 30 fastest times in history.

Survey shows US oil and gas production slowing amidst high demand

RIYADH: Driven by a fall in crude and commodities pricing, oil and gas production in the US is decelerating at a time when demand is showing signs of recovery, research by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has shown. The survey posted a score of zero for business activity growth in the second quarter of 2023 among 150 oil and gas groups in its region, the lowest since 2020 when oil prices crashed due to the pandemic, ultimately forcing operators to close rigs and cut headcounts. 

Busquets Joins Messi at Inter Miami FC

MIAMI, USA: Inter Miami announced on Friday they are signing former Spain and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets to team-up with Lionel Messi at the Major League Soccer club. Messi said earlier this month he was moving to Miami and he will now be re-united with his former Barca team-mate Busquets. Inter Miami posted a tweeted heralding the arrival of the player. “Si, Busi” read the twitter post, referring to Busquets’ nickname. The tweet included quotes praising Busquets from several people in the game including former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

Shell to operate gas stations in Saudi Arabia.

RIYADH: Riyadh is set to have its first Shell-branded fuel station later this year after the British energy firm signed an agreement with Asyad Holding Group, as part of the Saudi Energy Ministry’s efforts to bring international companies into the Kingdom. The agreement will pave the way for Shell International to open its fuel stations in the fourth quarter of this year, the ministry said in a press release. 

King Abdullah Port and Tabadul Partner to Enhance Logistics Efficiency

RIYADH: Delivery times for goods passing through King Abdullah Port are set to be reduced after the facility signed a strategic partnership with the Saudi Company for Electronic Information Exchange, known as Tabadul, to develop a digital system to boost the Kingdom’s logistics sector. The two entities signed a contract on Tuesday which will see the port’s Smart Gate System merge with Tabadul’s Truck Management System in a move that will increase efficiency.

flynas signs $3.7bn deal with Airbus for 30 planes

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s budget airline flynas has signed a $3.73 billion agreement with Airbus to buy 30 aircraft, Saudi state TV reported on Monday. The deal was signed at the Paris Air Show by Bandar Al-Mohanna, flynas CEO and managing director, and Christian Scherer, Airbus chief commercial officer and head of international, in the presence of Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Al-Jasser, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, president of General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Ayed Aljeaid, chairman of the board of NAS Holding.
