“He is not another person who used to be a Republican,” Sarandon told the crowd throughout her introduction of Sanders, in accordance to Politico reporter Holly Otterbein.
Sarandon, a Sanders supporter, did not point out Warren by title, but the Massachusetts senator was a registered Republican in the mid-nineties.
“I was a Republican because I thought that those people have been the individuals who finest supported marketplaces,” Warren advised Politico in 2011. “I feel that is not accurate any more.”
Warren and Sanders — two liberal favorites — have been polling toward the prime of the crowded Democratic presidential key field.
