On Tuesday, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its approval of the extension of the Sudan armistice and ceasefire for five days, which was decided during talks held in Jeddah. The Secretary-General of the organization, Hissein Brahim Taha, stated that this agreement is a step towards achieving a permanent ceasefire and putting an end to the armed conflict in Sudan. Furthermore, the Secretary-General praised the efforts made by Saudi Arabia and the US to reach this armistice agreement.
