The Modern Family star walked down the aisle in an ivory silk faille ballgown by Vera Wang, that includes a sweetheart neckline, hand-pleated bodice, French tulle sleeves and excessive slit, based on a press launch from the designer. Sarah and Wells—who met on social media—went public with their romance within the fall of 2017. They introduced they have been engaged in July 2019 and celebrated with an intimate engagement get together three months later. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic, the pair needed to put their marriage ceremony plans on maintain.

In August 2020, the fiancés celebrated what would have been their unique marriage ceremony date with a visit to a vineyard.

“It was my first time out of the house, out of quarantine,” Sarah recalled on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that October. “We went to a vineyard and we went with all of our pals—all of us received examined—our household, our greatest man, maid of honor. I introduced a white costume and, like, a veil I received on Etsy. And my bridesmaids, they received, like, an actual marriage ceremony bouquet for me and shocked me and we took faux marriage ceremony photos for enjoyable.”
