First-year college students of commencement programs in Madhya Pradesh schools and universities will probably be provided epic ‘Ramcharitmanas’ as an elective topic beneath philosophy self-discipline in artwork stream, Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Monday.
On suggestion of the syllabus committee, the “applied philosophy of Shri Ramcharitmanas” has been launched as an elective (optionally available) course beneath the philosophy topic for first-year college students of commencement (BA) from the tutorial session of 2021-22, he stated.
“The Ramcharitmanas has science, culture, literature and ‘shringar’ (concept of love and beauty in Indian classical art form). This is not about a particular religion. We have also introduced Urdu Gazal as a subject,” Yadav stated.
The minister stated this 60-hour lengthy elective course will assist develop humanitarian perspective and talent of balanced management high quality amongst college students.
Ramcharitmanas is an epic poem composed by the 16th-century bhakti poet Tulsidas.
“When new syllabus is being implemented in context of the new education policy, we are also trying to bring our glorious past to the fore. Whether it is related to our scriptures or to our great men,” he stated.
Yadav claimed it has been proved in a NASA examine that Ram Setu was a man-made bridge constructed thousands and thousands of years in the past and Beyt Dwaraka existed 5,000 years again.
“This syllabus is being implemented on recommendation of scholars,” the minister stated.
Meanwhile, Congress MLA Arif Masood stated the BJP authorities is taking such steps to cover its “failures”.
“The slogan of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas (everyone’s support, everyone’s development) is false. This slogan could be true if they would have included the Quran and the Bible along with the Ramayana,” he stated.
Masood stated the BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh and on the Centre have failed and such steps are being taken to cover their “failures” on points like schooling, infrastructure and employment.
Earlier this month, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang had introduced that MBBS college students in Madhya Pradesh will examine about RSS founder KB Hedgewar, Bhartiya Jana Sangh chief Deendayal Upadhyaya, Swami Vivekananda and BR Ambedkar as a part of the first-year basis course.
He stated the move is geared toward instilling social and medical ethics amongst college students.
Similarly, Yadav had earlier introduced that the Madhya Pradesh authorities is contemplating altering the Hindi nomenclature of the vice-chancellor’s submit in state universities from ‘Kulpati’ to ‘Kulguru’.
