File picture.LAHORE: The Punjab academics have flayed the federal government’s move of assigning non-academic duties to schoolteachers, it emerged on Friday.In a press launch, the Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) leaders Ch Taj Haider and others noticed that COVID-19 brought about irreparable injury to the scholars and now when the faculties had reopened, the provincial authorities has ordered assigning duties to schoolteachers to finish survey of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and on-line entry of information pertaining to ACRs of workers.The PTU members stated that hundreds of posts of schoolteachers had been already vacant whereas they had been being stored busy in non-academic duties.They demanded the federal government let academics serve college students who already suffered big educational loss due to the extended closure of instructional institutes.
