PTA brand.The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has lately introduced that it might take steps to dam spam and unsolicited calls and messages. In an official notification, the PTA mentioned  that “unwanted calls and messages can be disruptive but there are steps people can take to minimise them.”Blocking telemarketing communication Those who don’t want to obtain telemarketing-related messages can register their quantity on PTA’s Do Not Call Register (DNCR).All they should do is kind ‘reg’ and SMS to 3627.The notification added that if the issue persists, customers can contact their respective service suppliers. Those who want to obtain the telemarketing communication messages once more can kind ‘unreg’ and ship a message to 3627.Block spamming/unsolicited communication Those who want to block spam or unsolicited communication can kind the spammer’s cell quantity, give house, paste the obtained message and SMS it to 9000.Block obnoxious/unknown calls and messagesUsers who’re fed up of obnoxious and unknown calls and messages can now block them by dialling *420# (for Jazz, Telenor, and Ufone subscribers), or 420 (for Zong subscribers).Do not share private infoThe PTA additionally suggested customers to not give out their private info, similar to account numbers, passwords, or another info in response to unknown or surprising calls and SMS.
