Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that “technical issues” within the appointment of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) director-general could be resolved quickly, Geo News reported Thursday.
Sources aware of the matter stated that the premier made the assertion at a gathering with the PTI Parliamentary Committee.
PM Imran Khan took the committee members into confidence over the present state of affairs pertaining to the appointment of ISI DG and stated: “No one has a better relationship with the military than me”.
He then went on to make clear that there was “no misunderstanding” between the federal government and the navy management.
The prime minister had convened an emergency assembly of the ruling social gathering’s parliamentary group at Parliament House to debate necessary nationwide points.

“The same mechanism was adopted on the matter of the appointment of ISI DG,” stated Chaudhry.
The minister stated that the DG ISI shall be appointed “soon” with the method already “underway”.
‘Everything mutually finalised’
Meanwhile, Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed, additionally talking to the media following the assembly, stated that “everything has been mutually decided and finalised” and that the federal government and the navy “have a very good understanding”.
He stated that the prime minister had not stated something about interviewing candidates for the publish.
“He was viewing things in a political context, while the army has its own approach,” Rasheed added.
