NOWSHERA: Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Sunday issued a clarification after an earlier assertion of his went viral, and raised just a few eyebrows. 

According to Geo News, the previous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister was talking to locals in Nowshera  when he mentioned that the incumbent authorities wouldn’t survive if he did not need it to. 

“The Opposition respects me which is why I also show regard to parliamentarians,” mentioned Khattak. “No one can cheat me when it comes to politics,” he mentioned, including that Imran Khan’s authorities wouldn’t final a single day if he did not need it to.

However, Khattak clarified that the prime minister had bestowed a variety of favours on him and that he was with the premier all the best way.

The former KP chief minister turned his weapons in direction of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), accusing it of attempting to pressurise the federal government to cover their corruption.

“There are internal rifts within the PDM. Very soon, their artificial alliance will meet its fate,” he mentioned. Khattak blamed Opposition events for having a hand within the inflationary scenario that Pakistan was presently strugglign with, saying that it was the predecessor governments’ insurance policies that had introduced Pakistan to its present state of affairs. 

A number of hours after the Khattak’s above-mentioned assertion began doing the rounds on social media, the defence minister took to Twitter to challenge a clarification.

In the tweet, Khattak clarified that he was “sincere and indebted” to Imran Khan.
