Pakistani intelligence officials say a roadside bomb assault has killed two army troopers in the country’s northwest.

The officials say the planted bomb exploded Saturday afternoon when a protection forces vehicle was patrolling in Ladha place of South Waziristan.

The officers spoke on situation of anonymity mainly because they were being not licensed to speak to media.

No team quickly claimed accountability for the attack but earlier this kind of attacks have been claimed by Pakistani Taliban.

South Waziristan has been a stronghold of Mahsud militants right until the military carried out several offensives versus them in recent yrs.

The army claims to have cleared the place near the Afghan border of Islamic militants.
