The old image of Pakistani premier Imran Khan doing a commentary for a cricket match for a UAE-based radio station went viral on social media on Wednesday. The picture showed Khan sitting behind a mic in the commentary box.

Senator Faisal Javed Khan had shared the images of PM Imran Khan on his official Twitter account. Javed posted another image that showed the son of PM Khan, Sulaiman Khan, accompanying him in the commentary box. The pictures were revived from the archives.

The Twitter post of the senator garnered colossal reactions on social media. The fans and followers of Khan showered love and praise on the posts.

In his post-retirement days, Khan often appeared as the cricket commentator on Asian and British sports networks, including BBC Urdu and the Star TV Network. In 2004, when the Indian cricket team toured Pakistan after 14 years, he was a commentator on TEN Sport’s special live show, Straight Drive.

Meanwhile, besides retiring Khan had written opinion pieces on cricket for various British and Asia newspapers, especially regarding Pakistan’s national team. His contributions have been published in India’s Outlook magazine and Guardian, The Independent, and the Telegraph.

He has provided analysis for every cricket world cup since 1992 which included providing match summaries for the BBC during the 1999 World Cup.

Last week, a rare photo of Prime Minister Imran Khan with sons went viral on social media on Wednesday. The image shows PM Imran Khan standing with his two sons, Qasim and Suleman, in Pakistan’s northern tourist spot, Skardu.

The old image of Khan with his sons caught the attention of internet users. The fans and followers of Imran Khan outpoured love and warmth on the heartwarming image. The image gained extraordinary traction on social media also because the premier is hardly seen spending quality time with his sons.
