PARIS (Reuters) – New tariff threats by the United States on certain French merchandise are terrible for the world financial state, and France is counting upon the solidarity of its European partners as it looks to challenge the shift, the French finance minister reported.

“We do not want to have any new sanctions. Concerning allies, we should not have a plan of sanctions, it is terrible for the economic climate,” Bruno Le Maire advised reporters on Tuesday at a briefing at the French Finance Ministry.

“We are ready to adopt the OECD resolution on electronic tax. If the U.S. do the same, then it’s the close of the issue”, included Le Maire.
