NEOM, the futuristic city being built in Saudi Arabia, has launched its first international exhibition in Venice. The event, titled “Zero Gravity Urbanism – Principles for a New Livability,” features over 20 of the world’s top architects and designers. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the minister of culture, who was visiting Italy to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr participated in a panel discussion that highlighted the global significance of zero gravity urbanism and its role in protecting nature in coastal, mountainous, and desert regions. The exhibition will run until Sept. 24.
