Punjab’s Education Minister Murad Raas on Monday took to Twitter and introduced that the varsity 12 months within the province will begin from August 1, 2021.
According to a notification that the minister shared on this regard, the tutorial 12 months will finish on March 31, 2022.
Per the notification, the choice was taken throughout a gathering of the Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) on February 26, 2021.
As reported by Geo.television, just a few days in the past, Murad Raas had launched a listing of districts which is able to observe the alternate-school-day rule till April 1 attributable to increased coronavirus incidences therein.
Districts not within the record “will follow prior COVID-19 schedule,” the minister had written on Twitter.
The connected notification acknowledged that districts having the next COVID-19 positivity ratio — equivalent to greater than 20 instances within the final 24 hours — can be topic to the rule.
The districts with excessive positivity charges reportedly embrace Lahore, Gujrat, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.
According to the prevailing rule: “Students of all the educational institutions shall attend classes on alternate days with 50% ratio on any single working day as detailed in earlier letter […] dated 12th September, 2020.”
The above was amended to state: “Students of all the educational institutions are allowed to attend classes 5/6 days a week (as the case may be) w.e.f. 01-03-2021 except in the districts mentioned above.”
According to the notification, the modification can be reviewed on March 31.
Strict implementation of security measures should be ensured and has already been communicated to all these involved, it added.
