Great classic RWD sports car. Don't knock one of these (any series) until you've blasted it through the twisties. Not super grunty but no classic sports car is really. I love a paddle auto but the MX5 would be the exception. They hold their value rather well from what I've noticed.
I prefer the looks of the roadster. The RF isn’t as attractive to my eyes. I drove the original model from Winton Raceway to Melbourne back in the day and it was a joy to drive. As you said, John, like a favourite pair of shoes… it felt like you were part of it… lovely.
Angle wasn't the best for the in-car – we know. Will be rectified next time we're in an MX-5…
Love ur vids man

A great sport car for sure, but too expensive and impractical for daily use, hence why there are way more 86s on the road

i was like why is it so expensive , then i remembered australian dollars.
Still the best value analog sports car you can buy today IMO Nice review
I agree with those who think it's too expensive. However, a 2 or 3 years old used ones are very well priced in Aus. It's worth checking out.
I'll wait for the new BRZ
Base 1.5 soft top would be my choice I think as closest to original NA ethos imho
