(CNN)Legendary country singer and songwriter Mac Davis has died at the age of seventy eight.

Davis, who first identified fame creating hits “A Very little A lot less Discussion” and “In The Ghetto” for Elvis Presley, died next coronary heart surgical procedure, his manager, Jim Morey, mentioned in a statement on Tuesday.
“He was surrounded by the adore of his lifetime and spouse of 38 years, Lise, and his sons Scott, Noah and Cody,” Morey wrote on Fb.
Shelling out tribute to Davis, his supervisor described him as “a loving husband, father, grandfather and close friend.
“I will overlook laughing about our a lot of adventures on the highway and his insightful sense of humor.

Morey ended his statement with lyrics from Davis’ music “I Imagine In Songs.”
News of Davis’ demise arrives times right after his relatives said he had come to be “critically unwell” immediately after going through heart operation in Nashville.
Musician Richard Marx led the on the net tributes to Davis, tweeting: “This is these types of a drag. RIP to the outstanding #MacDavis. Thank you for your outstanding music and your kindness to me. It was an honor to listen to you explain to me stories.”
Davis — born Morris Mac Davis — created his debut as a region audio artist with his 1970 album “Track Painter.”
His breakthrough album “Child, You should not Get Hooked On Me” was launched two a long time later.
Davis, whose hits consist of “End and Smell the Roses” and “1 Hell of a Girl,” been given around the world recognition for his contribution to audio and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1998.
He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000 and the nationwide Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006.
In 2013, he topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart as co-writer on Avicii’s “Addicted to You.”
Alongside with his musical achievements, Davis appreciated modest success as a television persona and actor. He hosted his personal wide range collection “The Mac Davis Present” on NBC from 1974 to 1976 and also starred in Tv set films “Beer For My Horses” and “Where The Quickly Lane Ends.”
