Lizzo is unrecognizable in her ‘The Mandalorian’ costume: ‘Grogu takes Hollywood’

Lizzo spent Halloween weekend trying a bit of greener than regular.

The “Truth Hurts” singer took to Instagram to offer followers a peek into her current Halloween shenanigans, which included dressing up like Star Wars character Grogu for an evening in town. The character, who seems in Disney+ sequence The Mandalorian, can also be affectionately referred to by some followers as “baby Yoda,” because the baby is of the identical species because the character from the unique movies.

Lizzo was fully incognito as Grogu, and even walked down Hollywood Boulevard on the intersection of Highland Avenue so as to take pics with followers — who had no concept it was the Grammy winner beneath the costume. After all, Lizzo match proper in, as this space of Hollywood boasts loads of individuals donned in costume, hoping to snap pics with vacationers.

“GROGU TAKES HOLLYWOOD,” she captioned one among her Halloween posts. “GROGU JUST WANNA SAY… LAST NIGHT IF U SAW GROGU… NO YOU DIDNT.”

In one other photograph, Lizzo-as-Grogu sipped a cocktail, whereas carrying sun shades. She captioned the occasion pic, “A representative from Grogu’s publicity team has issued a statement regarding the paparazzi photos taken last night: ‘Grogu aka Baby Yoda aka The Child has no recollection of these events. In fact, these events never happened.’”

Fans couldn’t get sufficient of the intelligent costume and Halloween stunt. One wrote in her feedback part, “Imagine just taking a selfie with Lizzo not knowing it’s Lizzo!!” Another added, “Lizzo trolling the city is the best thing to happen this Halloween.” A 3rd declared, “I think is the most iconic thing I have ever seen.”

This isn’t Lizzo’s first time making headlines for her Halloween costume. Last yr, the artist went because the fly who appeared on then Vice President Mike Pence’s head throughout his election debate with now VP Kamala Harris. At the time, Lizzo appropriately captioned the pic of her costume, “FLYYYYY AF !”
