THE BJP authorities in Karnataka is ready to resume efforts to achieve management of the legislative council within the state legislature when it convenes on Thursday. Its prospects have acquired a lift with the opposition JD(S) providing help on the situation that its senior chief Basavaraj Horatti is made council Chairman.
The BJP wants the help of the JD(S) to oust present Chairman Ok Prathapchandra Shetty towards whom the celebration has moved a recent no-confidence movement after an earlier movement taken up within the winter session – amid confusion over JD(S) help for it – was rejected by the Chairman on the grounds that it not so as.
