According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet the executives of Tesla Motors to discuss the investment opportunities in the Pakistan Electric Vehicle market.
Pakistan’s renowned anchorperson and journalist, Sabir Shakir, had reported the news in his vlog. The video clip was shared by Javed Afridi, the CEO of Haier Pakistan, on his Twitter account.
Shakir stated that Afridi has already met a few times with the executives of Tesla Motors. He added that the world’s leading EV makers have expressed keen interest in investing and expanding the business in Pakistan.

Afridi is proactively working to expand the automobile sector in Pakistan. He is the key stakeholder in MG Pakistan.
Earlier, this month, Afridi in a tweet had asked his followers whether or not they will like Tesla in Pakistan.
Tesla, Inc. is an American electric vehicle and clean energy company owned by the famous aerospace manufacturer Elon Musk – who is also the CEO of Space X. Tesla, based in Palo Alto, California produces electric cars, battery energy storage from home to grid-scale, solar panels, and solar roof tiles, as well as other related products and services.
Afridi’s hint at bringing Tesla to Pakistan should in no way be taken lightly as the much-acclaimed businessman recently launched a popular British automotive brand Morris Garages in the country. MG has setup 3s dealerships across the country which have already started selling CBU’s imported from China to its domestic consumers.
MG recently held a grand function at the prime minister house, Islamabad – an event which was also graced by PM Imran Khan – was to formally commence domestic production of the vehicles.
The government of Pakistan is actively working to propel Pakistan towards development and technological advancements in all the sectors of Pakistan.
With the news of the arrival of Tesla in Pakistan, the government will most likely provide them with all-out assistance and facilitation.
