Netizens have called out the Pakistani serial, Juda Hue Kuch Is Tarhan, for its controversial content on foster siblings aired on Hum TV.

The promo of the upcoming episode has been making rounds on social media. The production team and the TV channel have been receiving flak on social media since Tuesday morning. The serial shows the marriage between foster siblings.

The serial has become a top trend on social media. Social media users demand Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to take action against the serial and ban its broadcast.

Twitter users have accused the channel of promoting ‘incest’ in society. They argue that while the religious segments speak up about all the issues they should also address the controversial issue raised in the serial.

Users have tagged the Ministry of Information and Broadcast to take immediate and necessary action against the producers.

A drama promoting indecency in society?

They believe that such content contradicts religious and social values and will further promote indecency in society. Social media users have once again questioned the substandard content produced by the entertainment industry of Pakistan. They regretted the display of poor-quality serials on TV screens these days. Netizens have urged producers and directors to come up with high-quality and engaging content.

Social media users have also called out controversial writer, Khalil-ur-Rehman for penning down a script that violates the norms of society. Some netizens have posted hilarious posts on the issue. The drama features actors Nabeel Zuberi, Dur-e-Fishan, Hassan Khan, Sabeena Syed, Shabbir Jan, Farida Shabbir, Salma Hasan, Saima Qureshi, Aimen Shehzadi, Kashif Mehmood, Sohail Sameer, Salma Qadir, Khalid Shaheen & Others. The serial has been produced by Momina Duraid Productions and directed by Wahed Jafri.

So far, none from the cast and crew of the drama serial have commented on the controversy. PEMRA has also not taken any action against the serial.
