Babar Awan, an adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s has said that the government has video proof of ‘activities’ that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been involved in London, yesterday.

The statement came during a private television channel interview in which Babar Awan claimed that the government has details and footage of all meetings that Nawaz Sharif has held when in London.

“We know whom he is visiting and holding meetings in London,” said Babar.

Previously this month, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill had insinuated that Nawaz Sharif had met with Indian diplomats. He had said that the government knew who Nawaz was meeting.

The Pakistani Muslim League Nawaz vehemently denied the allegation levied by Shahbaz. They said that Nawaz Sharif was being linked with India deliberately.

PML-N leaders have looted the country: Babar Awan

Babar Awan further said that everyone in the country was aware that PML-N leaders had looted the nation off of its wealth. He said that the entire political narrative of the PML-N is designed to seek a deal for Maryum Nawaz.

Babar dismissed the idea that Nawaz Sharif could bring people on the roads by saying that if Nawaz Sharif himself does not come back to Pakistan how could he bring the Pakistani public out on the roads.

The adviser to the prime minister said that the existing system is stable and would not succumb to opposition parties. Babar Awan assured that the government would complete its tenure, it said that opposition parties were allowed to hold protests but violence and hate speeches against the country’s institutions will not be tolerated.

Babar Awan also mocked the political narrative of PML-N by saying that Nawaz Sharif himself was responsible for the toppling of three elected governments in the country’s history.
