PARIS (Reuters) – France’s Europe minister reported on Wednesday Britain ought to preserve its word and honour the agreement it concluded with the European Union on its withdrawal from the bloc.
“Respect for the withdrawal arrangement is not negotiable,” the minister, Clement Beaune, wrote on Twitter.
“Commitments have been made, they need to be stored to. Among mates and allies, we require to keep our phrase and regard the regulation. The European Union has manufactured its commitments, we be expecting the same from the United Kingdom.”
