Covid: ‘We’re so happy with how Bertie bounced again’

The dad and mom of a five-year-old boy with autism have spoken about their satisfaction in his progress since he began faculty.

Bertie, from Loughborough, who’s non-verbal, started faculty in September 2020 after a difficult lockdown that noticed him disadvantaged of his particular wants playgroup, autism outreach and speech remedy.

However, since becoming a member of faculty he has thrived and was lately shortlisted for Young Person of the Year at a nationwide awards ceremony to recognise the achievements of younger folks with complicated disabilities, run by the charity Sense.

“When I think about how proud I am, it just makes me that emotional,” his mum Laura mentioned.
