A Raipur court docket on Friday granted bail to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s father Nand Kumar Baghel who was arrested earlier this week for allegedly making objectionable remarks towards the Brahmin group.
The 86-year-old Baghel senior was arrested on Tuesday.
He didn’t search bail then, and the court docket remanded him in judicial custody for 15 days.
Later his lawyer Gajendra Sonkar moved a bail utility and sought pressing listening to.
“After hearing arguments, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Janak Kumar Hidko granted him bail today,” Sonkar stated.
After spending three days in jail, Nand Kumar Baghel walked out of jail within the night.
The case was lodged on September four on the DD Nagar police station right here on a grievance filed by the ‘Sarv Brahmin Samaj’.
Chief Minister Baghel had strongly disapproved of the remarks allegedly made by his father, and stated no one is above legislation.
Nand Kumar Baghel was charged below Indian Penal Code part 153-A (selling enmity between completely different teams).
The complainant alleged that Nand Kumar had requested folks to “boycott” and evict Brahmins.
According to the police, the remarks have been reportedly made throughout an occasion in Uttar Pradesh.
The chief minister had stated that the remarks harm the feelings of a group and “I am also pained by them.”
