For as much as I perform Future two, I still find myself lacking factors. This is some thing that was pointed out to me over the weekend that I frankly, experienced not discovered at all. Ordinarily I am on best of items transforming week to 7 days like dots moving or the Almighty not showing up in the skybox, but this? I had skipped this entirely. I guess I do not glance up adequate for the duration of the Interference mission.
Seemingly, the Tree of Silver Wings, that big tree in the center of the Cradle that Eris is generally chilling underneath is…under building. Week to 7 days, the large Pyramid sitting above the cradle seems to be setting up something in the tree, form of corrupting the prime portion of it, and it’s progressing in time.
Here’s what the tree seemed like when we started off the period:
And here’s what the tree looks like after extra than a month:
Large variations, and it’s established a bit of a mystery that some admirers have been monitoring, but some may possibly have skipped solely. Hence this write-up.
The Tree of Silver Wings is some thing of an ongoing mystery in Future. It spans all the way back again to Future 1, the place the lore tab of Ruin Wings talks about another silver tree:
“In the Back garden grows a tree of silver wings. The leaves are ruin, the bark disaster. Of the seeds we do not converse.”
Now, we have a 2nd exotic that is tree-based, Ruinous Effigy. We have just one pores and skin that is white/silver bark, and then the Eververse pores and skin is the “corrupted” variation with the angular, black pyramid texture that we’re now seeing at the prime. The lore tab for Ruinous Effigy has Banshee speaking about how the gun in fact eats our mild and…converts it, though not adequate for it to damage us or for us to really discover.
The tree functions as the communion point among Eris and the Darkness, and I suppose it’s achievable that the much more they speak, the extra the leading of the tree is corrupted and it is just a sort of satellite dish.
But the shape of it has spawned a typical theory, one particular that I’m not absolutely sure I concur with, but it is worthy of thinking of. The concept is that the black circle that is forming is birthing a “Dark Traveler.” Xur has a line about how “Your Traveler has a darkish mirror,” and the thought is that the Darkness is developing a black Traveler to act as its reverse.
I’m…not guaranteed how I sense about this idea. When Xur stated that (years ago) I assume it’s fairly clear that the Pyramidsarethe Traveler’s dark mirror, and that wouldn’t be like basically a “black orb” Traveler that we’re seeing established now.
And but, I really don’t know.
This plan has me contemplating about a definitely wild concept that doesn’t rather make feeling, but it occurred to me all the same. What if the Traveler was in essence the “child” of the Pyramids and the Darkness? But it figured out a diverse way to wield ability (gentle) and escaped to attempt to give that gift to other races, and was pursued by its “parents” across the galaxy. I imply, there is only one particular Traveler that we have noticed, and now this tree could be birthing a second a single, a “correct” just one to function for the Darkness.
This thought does not accurately perform with the entire Gardener vs . Winnower lore detail, representing by the Mild and Darkness, but it does strike me as unusual that there are a seemingly infinite quantity of Pyramids but only a single Traveler. But hey, perhaps two, shortly. Even though I do form of question it.
No matter, I will be holding an eye on the tree week to 7 days with updates and see how things evolve. I have no concept if this is going to convert into an item of fantastic relevance by the conclusion of the (now prolonged) period, but we’ll have to hold out (a very very long time) and see.
