Benzema uncertain about Real Madrid future: “Currently in Madrid”

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema received the Marca Legend prize at a ceremony organized by the Spanish sports publication. However, when asked about his future, the 35-year-old striker was reluctant to comment, leading to speculation that he could move to Saudi Arabia in the close season. Despite being asked if he planned to address the Real fans about his future, Benzema responded by saying, “Why do I have to talk about the future? I am at Real Madrid. The reality is different, not what is said on the Internet.” Although he struggled with injuries and missed out on France’s World Cup squad in Qatar, it appeared that the Ballon d’Or winner would stay in Madrid for another year. Nevertheless, widespread media reports suggest that Benzema has been offered a deal worth more than $110.08 million by Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad. Cristiano Ronaldo, his former Real teammate, signed a 2-1/2 year contract with Al-Nassr in December, estimated by media to be worth more than 200 million euros.
