Anti-vaccine protesters briefly shut down vaccine web site


LOS ANGELES (AP) — One of the most important vaccination websites within the nation briefly shut down Saturday as a result of dozen of protesters blocked the doorway, stalling a whole bunch of motorists who had been ready in line for hours, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The Los Angeles Fire Department shut the doorway to the vaccination middle at Dodger Stadium about 2 p.m. as a precaution, officers instructed the newspaper.

The protesters had members of anti-vaccine and far-right teams, the Times reported. Some of them carried indicators decrying the COVID-19 vaccine and shouting for individuals to not get the photographs.

There have been no incidents of violence, the Times stated.

“This is completely wrong,” stated German Jaquez, who drove from his home in La Verne and had been ready for an hour for his vaccination when the stadium’s gates have been closed. He stated a few of the protesters have been telling individuals in line that the coronavirus isn’t actual and that the vaccination is harmful.

The vaccination web site reopened shortly earlier than three p.m., the Times reported. The web site is often open from eight a.m. to eight p.m.

After it reopened, Gov. Gavin Newsom tweeted: “We will not be deterred or threatened. Dodger Stadium is back up and running.”

A submit on social media described the demonstration because the “SCAMDEMIC PROTEST/MARCH.” It suggested individuals to “please refrain from wearing Trump/MAGA attire as we want our statement to resonate with the sheeple. No flags but informational signs only.

“This is a sharing information protest and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR Tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc.”
