Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar has been appointed because the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after Prime Minister Imran Khan gave the approval on Wednesday.
An official of the PAF, in an announcement, stated the newly-appointed chief joined the pressure in 1986 as a fighter pilot and has commanded the Fighter Squadron Operational Airbase and Regional Air Command.
Currently, he’s serving because the Deputy Chief of Air Staff Administration.
The present Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan will hand over the command of PAF to his successor on the change of command ceremony to be held on the Air Headquarters on March 19.
The Pakistan Day Parade will see the brand new Chief of Air Staff (CAS) main the flypast on March 23 because the incumbent will retire on March 18 on completion of his three-year tenure.
