As an govt in the songs business for more than a ten years, and currently the Vice President of Brand name Marketing at Epic Records, Michelle Edgar focuses on strategic partnerships and artist enhancement. She has labored on dozens of campaigns including Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Wu Tang Clan, Mary J. Blige and Imagine Dragons.
Edgar started a non-financial gain firm identified as Music Unites to help fund sustainable new music education and learning plans in underserved general public faculties. Whilst her day job fulfills her passion for audio, she felt a little something was missing for females in small business. She commenced The XX Challenge, which is a membership-only networking platform for female executives, business people and career seekers. “Women have a tendency to think of other females as competitors alternatively than allies,” Edgar claims. She hopes her events support females discover means to collaborate and elevate one particular yet another. She sat down with Jessica Abo to examine her company’s expansion and her advice for entrepreneurs.
